Nice, packable, good looking, yada yada, but fails in all three important things for a fin:1) Propelling with 'Power and Thrust'? - NO, Not so. Very little propelling. Propelling is at a MINIMUM.2) Floating? - NO. Unless it is upside down in the water. But once it turns and the footbed fill up with water, it *will sink*.3) Ease of use? - NO. It is so buoyant when swimming face down (as when snorkeling) that kept my feet out of the water and required extra effort to bring legs into the water and kick. And one more negative: The blade part is very rigid - which makes it more difficult to move and get any propelling. It is not easily discernable from the picture, but the yellow (or blue) part of the blade, the Thermoplastic, is exactly that, a very rigid piece of plastic.I got three sets of fins to evaluate and choose from:1) Zionor F1 Diving Snorkel Short Fins2) Cressi Palau Short Snorkeling Swim Fins with Mesh Bag3) Phantom Aquatics Voda Full Foot Snorkeling Swim FinThe Cressi and the Zionor are open-backed fins, pretty much requiring the use of a bootie. (I use a 5mm neoprene bootie.)Zionor: - Excellent construction and materials, seems more durable than the Cressi. - The strap quick release design is more like a traditional press-the-tabs type than the Cressi, which is just terrible. - Very comfortable, fit as expected. - A bit smaller than the Cressi, I'd prefer this one to be a bit bigger.Cressi: - The fin area is larger than the Zionor, so it propels you through the water more easily. - Materials seem cheap, like the plastic fin portion. - The strap "quick release" is just awful. You have to rotate the strap 120' to position it for release. This is not apparent as you look at the fin, so I had to call my favorite vendor to see if it had one. They couldn't figure it out either. After close examination, I finally figured out that the strap had to be rotated then pushed. No quick release tabs on this one. - A little narrow for my foot, which is of average width. With a 3mm bootie, it would probably be better. - Unlike both of the others, this does not come with the fin saver inserts. Another disappointment.Of these two open-backed ones, I much prefer the Zionor. I'm disappointed in the Cressi materials, strap design, and lack of fin savers. The Voda full-foot: - Very comfortable, as described in their write-up - In size, it is between the smaller Zionor and the larger Cressi - Since it doesn't require a bootie, it is more convenient to just through them on when at the pool or beach. An excellent choice for this style of fin.Comfortable and packable for trips but the cost is a drop in propulsion. I was with a group and very happy I bought a full footed fin. I was with a group of 23 in the Galapagos for 12 days and I can't tell you how many people in our group lost the straps to their fins and had to rent or borrow as a result. The rubber around the foot is soft. I never ended up needing the neoprene liner socks I bought to avoid irritation. Love these fins!!! True to size. I bought the 5/6 size. Not heavy nor lite in weight. Quality material. There is no rubber smell which is excellent. Snug fit and comfortable. Would buy again! Happy about product. Bought size 10/11 for my husband who wears a 10.5, fit well, a little snug width for his wide feet. (These are sold in MENS sizing) I bought size 5-6 for my women’s shoe size 8-8.5, and are perfect.I’ve tried them out doing pool laps- great push, fit just right. Perfect for travel, bought for beach snorkeling....even his size will fit into a carry- on suitcase easily. Keep the elastic that they ship with, to bind them sole to sole, to maintain the shape. Have read that some fins develop an odd bend over time. Good quality. These are nice stiff, short fins. Perfect for swimming around in shallow water. I wear size 9 shoes and chose 8-9 expecting these to be small if anything. They are too big. They fit... kinda but not the tight fit I was hoping for. These run big. 3mm neoprene socks made the fit much better. I have used many different swim fins over the years. I was tired of having my toes squished together which made it uncomfortable. I bought these to try out and I have used them several times since I purchased them. They are the best ever! My feet are happy and I can stay in the water much longer. They are Also easy to slip on in the water and they stay on. The size are perfect for snorkeling or diving. I highly recommend. These are outstanding travel fins. They are light fit very well and are well made combination of rubber and plastic material. I wea4 a 45 EU and i bought mine a 46/47 so i could wear a thin fin sock. They are a stiff paddle type fin. Will work well for snorkeling in easy currents. Outlet Store we commit to our promise of 'personalising technology' every day.
